“The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conductive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces”
The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities, with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training. The NCC is open to all Regular students on a voluntary basis. The Cadet are involves in different activities like Institutional Training, Camp Training, Attachment Training (Service unit), Social Service and Community Development Activities, Career Counseling and Personality Development and other adventurous activities.
The cadets attend different Camps organized locally as well as nationally like a) Annual Training Camp (ATC), b) Centrally Organised Camps (COC) c) Leaderships camps d) Thal Sainik Camps (TSC) e) National Integration Camps.
To be able to sit for Certificate Exams the cadet has to compulsorily attend any one for B Certificate Exam and two camp for C Certificate Exam
Selected cadets also get to participate in the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath in New Delhi.
Yearly enrollment of Cadet is done on the month of August 1st week which is open to both Higher Secondary as well as Under Graduate students of the College.
