The college provides different aids and scholarships to assist economically underprivileged students as well as to motivate them for serious studies. Presently the following numbers of students are enjoying the various scholarships in the college:

Besides that the college dispenses various State and Central Government Scholarships such as National Merit, State Merit, and Scholarship for physically Handicapped, and Hindi Scholarship for students of Non-Hindi origin. The college also extends scholarships for sports, academic excellence and aids the students from SC/ST/OBC/MOBC category by giving scholarships and prizes.
Apart from the usual awards and scholarships, Handique Girls’ College also offers financial assistance to needy students from the Students’ Welfare Fund in the form of
- Books.
- Counseling services for the differently abled students.
- Concession for library, sports, establishment and tuition fees for deserving students.
Such assistance is given annually to deserving students, subject to the availability of funds. To avail this facility, students will have to apply to the Principal with a certificate from a prominent citizen of the Locality. Students intending to apply for such assistance may contact the Convenor of the committee set up for the purpose.
The College offers freeships to two toppers of the TDC classes every year. The fees paid by these students during the admission to the College, are refunded after 3 months from the start of the new session.
Students who leave the College, however, do not refund. In the subsequent years the students will have to retain their merit position to avail the freeships.
The College also provides freeships and book grants to students from economically backward sections, the eligibility of which is governed by the College rules.
