Research interest of PML is in alternative energy sector with focus in organic semiconductor and biodiesel.

  • Organic polymer-Natural Fiber Framework: Polyaniline-betel nut fiber composites for ammonia gas sensors and LPG senors, Polyaniline-betel nut nanocellulose compoites for supercapacitors and elcectrode applications. Functionalised Polyaniline-nanosilk composites: Synthesis and applications as sensors, EMI Shielders, electrodes, supercapacitors, photovoltaics etc.
  • Heterogeneous Catalysis and Biodiesel: Search for non-edible oils as feedstock, such as xanthium, siya nahar etc. available in North-East India for biodiesel production. Synthesis and characterization of magnetic heterogeneous nanocatalysts for biodiesel synthesis. Engine performance study of the biodiesel synthesized for practical applicability.
