RESEARCH

Research Interests

Research in the Multifunctional Molecular Materials Laboratory (M3L) group spans topics in synthetic, structural and physical inorganic chemistry. The prime concern of the M3L is the design, synthesis, and physicochemical characterization of multifunctional molecular materials aimed at the application in advanced magnetic, optical, and electronic devices.

Solvent distillation and drying, organic synthesis, drug-receptor binding studies, synthesis and characterizations of molecular magnetic materials, characterization of chiral compounds, synthesis and handling of cyanide based compounds, crystallization techniques, spectroscopic and analytical techniques, X-ray diffraction techniques (both powder and single crystal), magnetic and electrical measurements, SQUID analysis, solving crystal structures (WinGX, Mercury, ORTEP, Diamond), computational calculations (ORCA package, CASSCF-NEVPT2) etc.
