Observaion of National Science Day:

National Science Day was observed in the college premises in collaboration with the Department of Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, and Mathematics. The Forest Man Padma Shri Jadav Payeng was the chief guest of the event who delivered a speech on the theme "Women in Science: Catalyzing Vikshit Bharat". Dr. Shakeel Zamal, Vice Principal of the College delivered a lecture on the life of Sir C. V. Raman and his pioneering contribution "The Raman Effect"

Student Activity:

A group of six students from Semester IV participated in the National Science Day organised by Department of Physics, IIT Guwahati on February 28, 2026. All students were actively engaged in the activities and presented their posters in the poster session.

Students of Semester IV participated in Poster Competition organised by Department of Physics,

Gauhati University on February 20, 2026 entitled "Higgs Boson: The Mass Defining Entity".

A group of 28 students from Sem II, IV and VI participated in a creative talk titled "Wonders of the Quantum World" by Prof. Amarjyoti Choudhury, Professor Emeritus & Chair Professor, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Center for Creativity on 20.02.2026 at Royal Global University, Guwahati.

Dr. Kishore Dutta, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Handique Girls’ College, was invited as a Resource Person for the Certificate Course on Indian Knowledge System, organized by Centre for Indian Knowledge System in collaboration with IQAC, Handique Girls’ College. As a part of the course, he delivered a lecture on the topic “The Hidden Harmonics of Sacred Geometry: Decoding Vedic Sound” on 05.04.2025.
