RESEARCH

  1. The department conducts individual projects of the CBCS 6th Semester students under supervision of the faculties for the Project Paper of UG 6th Semester (CBCS) as per the syllabus of Gauhati University.
  2. The FYUGP first semester students of the skill enhancement paper Mental Health and Hygiene also conduct a project on Psychological Well Being as a part of practical
  3. Karabi Nath and Supriya Sarmah, UG 3rd Semester student got selected for International Conference on Sustainable Development and presented their research paper on Disability in the same on 18th January 2024 at Calcutta University.
  4. Jintu Thakuria, Faculty of the department received research fellowship as Co-Investigator in the reach project ‘Queer Narratives in Assam" funded by Meghmallar Art Foundation, Assam for 1 year started from January 2024.
  5. Jintu Thakuria, Faculty of the department received Travel Grant to research on ‘Contemporary Literary Scenario in Arunachal Pradesh funded by Sahitya Akademi, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India started in April 2024.

1) Fellowship on Queer Narratives in Assam funded by Meghmallar Art Foundation with amount 1,50,000 Rs. (2024-2025)

 2) Teacher-led Student Project on Alternative Pedagogy funded by R&D Cell, Handique Girls´ College wih an amount 25,000 Rs. (2025-2026)
